We've arrived safe and sound at families' in Hinkley, California - after 7-8 hours of driving and 4 hours of flying we are glad to be stopped and in one location. But now, we need to get some sleep, as we are still running on only 3 hours of shut-eye. We have some pictures and some stories, but they'll have to wait until tomorrow.

P.S. We found out we have open WiFi for our whole stay here, which is great, especially after finding out that Starbucks in California charges for their Wifi.

Las Vegas Baby...
We are just stopped in Vegas for a few minutes. It's way different here than Calgary, even with our warm weather it doesn't even look to compare. I say look because we are inside the terminal, where it is nice and air conditioned and the wifi is free.
So far, we've tried the Coke (Just for Dan) and tried to buy stuff at Starbucks, what amazes us is that Starbucks costs the same in the airport in USD as we pay at home in CAD. So maybe we won't make more than one Starbuck trip a day.
What I'd really like is a Bacon Breakfast Sandwich courtesy of the Great Timmy's. But alas, we are out of Horton Country.
Also, if you look closely in the pictures, that is our bags on the bottom of the carriage, the red ones with the black protector, so it looks like we won't lose our luggage :-)

It is way to early to be up....
It is way to early to be up, having had only 3 hours sleep we are currently running on orange juice fumes. But it’s worth it, California here we come! That and the hard part is over, talking to the stone faced customs officials.
So, thanks to Telus, we are currently internet deprived. In a world where just about everywhere you can connect, Telus has decided to ask for a measly sum to allow us to surf the world wide web. Oh, I look forward to San Francisco and the fabled Muni WiFi! But it’s ok, no one is up early enough to read this anyways, except maybe B&K who were so kind as to drive us to the airport, and them only on a few hours sleep as well.

Almost Forgot...
Apparently our pup, Keira doesn't miss us all that much yet...
Fortunately she's being a kind of good girl :-), well ok, not really!

Packing...
I'm currently procrastinating on my packing, because I really don't like packing, worst part of any trip (besides coming home). So I thought I'd put up a quick post, to initiate our Maker Faire 2007 trip!
Maker Faire is the ultimate hack fest for geeks (in the coolest sense of course) in the middle of Geek Mecca, Silicon Valley! (Or nearby at least!) If you want to read more check it out here: http://www.makerfaire.com/
So that's all for now, I'll write more in the near future, but first I must pack! Can't forget anything, need a suitcase just for electronics :-).
